Abstract

The implementation of catechesis in the Eden Loce Congregation faces significant challenges in the digital era, where traditional teaching methods are no longer effective in engaging the youth. This study aims to identify a more relevant direction for catechesis teaching for the younger generation in the digital age. Using a descriptive qualitative research method, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The results indicate a significant decline in youth participation in catechesis due to non-adaptive and unengaging methods. These findings highlight the urgent need to redesign catechesis teaching methods by leveraging digital technology. Theoretically, this study expands the understanding of religious teaching adaptation in the digital era, while practically, the results provide a foundation for innovation in catechesis implementation that is more inclusive and effective. The study's limitation lies in its focus on a single community, opening opportunities for further research with broader scope.
