Abstract

Pesticides are poisons, but they can be useful if they are used appropriately and correctly. Pesticides have three main chemical contents, namely Organphosphate which contains carbon and phosphorus, Carbamates containing carbon and nitrogen and Organochlorine which contains chlorine so that it is very dangerous to human health, causing health problems especially causing or disturbing the human nervous system, respiratory and lung system disorders, liver damage, kidney damage, and decreased blood quality. The purpose of this study is to determine the levels of pesticides in clean water that are used by the community as daily basic needs that have an impact on public health when used for a long time. This research will be conducted in West Kao Subdistrict, North Halmahera Regency, where most of the people work as rice farmers, so direct contact with pesticides, research is very important because the impact of pesticides is very dangerous so that it can lead to sharing health problems and environmental degradation problems. alone causes death, if contaminated in the long term and in the use of pesticides, both directly and indirectly contaminated, so this research does not stop here but further research will be conducted in the following year. Type of research is quantitative, with cross sectional research design. That is a cross-sectional / one-time observational study design to find out the picture of the disease and identify the relationship of risk factors with the incidence of disease in the West Kao District, North Halmahera Regency.
